Manchester 10 and 17 July 2010
(please book by 28/06)
9 am 4 pm
A two-day intensive session for non-fiction writers who need to prepare their selling package for agents/publishers.
Please note that if you are a fiction writer, you do not need a book proposal, see here, but of course you are welcome to participate for your own development.
Learn about the notions of concept and appeal, how to write the synopsis, how to analyse your target market and the competition, as well as presenting production details and promotional possibilities.
At the end of this workshop, you will have all the tools to produce your own book proposal which I will then review by the end of August.
During this two-day workshop you will:
- Learn and understand about all of the requirements of the proposal.
- Create your proposal.
- Gain transferable knowledge that will allow you to write further proposals throughout your writing career without any further support.
The workshop includes:
all notes for you to take away;
an appraisal of your proposal delivered back to you by 20 August;
lunch at Pizza Express on both days;
tea and coffee on arrival and in the afternoon on both days.
£ 220
Please note that the workshop fee is non-refundable
if cancelled after 30/06.
I will, however, issue a credit note
which you can use for future workshops.
